[He's gotten back to flying rather smoothly and like he never stopped in the first place. He's mindful of holding Kazuha, having to adjust his holding him several times as they fly. The trip shouldn't be too long, but he can't go as fast he did getting here.
The sounds are... extremely distracting and strange. He's seen foxes, but never so vocal and this up close. Or maybe this sound is just a fox!Kauzha thing.
Either way, they finally land gently. Aether's still holding onto him.]
Albedo is probably working late, so try not to disturb him, all right? I'll get you some water and you can go sleep this off in my room.
( that flight was the best!! so good!! and luckily for Aether, it has made Kazuha very sleepy. the fox burrows tightly against his chest, giggling incessantly. )
Heehee hee hee hee...!( he might be a menace, but at least he's cute. )
[He just sighs but there is almost a smile there as Kazuha is pretty cute as a fox; his weakness for cute animals will be the end of him. He enters the house and it's extremely quiet. Albedo must be in the lab part of the house or maybe resting himself.
His own bedroom isn't too far. Once he reaches there, he sets Kazuha down on his bed. There's plenty of pillows and it's made up.]
Stay here, all right? I'll be back in a bit with some water and some food if you want. [Should he leave Kazuha alone like this...? He thinks it over again.]
( though not entirely coherent, Kazuha drunkenly stumbles down onto the bed, with his paws sinking into the quilt, making it difficult to walk. perhaps to Aether's surprise, he starts to whimper, pushing out small chittering noises at the prospect of him leaving. )
Don't go ... ( he manages in a squeaky voice, which is very different to Kazuha when he is sober. he's normally such a distant individual who travels where the wind takes him, yet stays close in his own ways. but is this drunken clinginess a small form of his trauma surfacing? maybe it is. even though it's difficult to walk on the soft bedding, he does his best to make his way closer to where Aether is standing, before he allows his small body to collapse into the quilt. he squeaks softly, before articulating himself again. )
Please, don't leave me ... ( jesus, Kazuha!! sorry that he's such a drunk mess. )
[The whimpering takes him aback, his eyes widening. He knows people can be emotional when drunk, but he hasn't seen this side of Kazuha before. Normally, he's so well composed and just a peaceful person to be around. He has to give himself a few more seconds to think of what to do.]
I'm just getting you water and food. [He tries to soothe him but petting him? It's still strange that he's petting Kazuha but if he were in his human form, he might have pat his back so that's the same, right?] And I'm not leaving you. I'll be in the house.
[He sighs. Should he take him? It'll be a little harder but he doesn't want to upset Kazuha.] All right, you can come with me. [Aether picks up Kazuha and carries him. They walk into the kitchen where there's some fruits and baked good out and a pitcher of water.]
Rehhh ... ( god, what a noise. he's so feral. the way he wags his tail demonstrates his approval over Aether carrying him off like this, and Kazuha steals the opportunity to climb up his scarf and bury his head in his neck. every time he exhales, he whimpers and chitters, proving to be the most needy creature in all of folkmore at this very moment.
Aether might need to pull him off to get him to drink that water. )
[While he's never one to avoid affection from animals, this far different as this is Kazuha and he's very drunk. Kazuha climbing into his scarf tickles, and reflexively, he goes to grab him - gently as he's mindful of his state.]
Kazuha, I need to put you down to get you some water, all right? You'll be right next to me. [And so he tries to place Kazuha down beside him.]
Take all the time you need. It's not exactly the same, but I know what it's like to be separated from someone who feels like your entire world and home.
It's not much, but I can drop off some food if you want.
I may talk about it in a while. I donβt know. I will need help moving his things from his study. My office is large enough to hold both desks andβ¦everything that he had in there.
It's a complicated answer. He's not lying about being the Sixth at one time. Yet, you're also right about the Sixth spot being vacant for many years in the Teyvat you know.
[He's seen that first hand and hopes in Teyvat it continues. In Folkmore, he's shown his commitment and months working together have earned Aether's trust.]
I can say that he's not working with the Fatui now and he's a friend and ally of mine here and in Teyvat.
[The silence that follows Aether's final statement stretches out to a point where the other man could be forgiven for thinking that Heizou had hung up. He hasn't, of course, the connection is still open, and eventually he puffs out a sigh.]
I'd tell you that you really ought to choose your company with more care, but I'd be a hypocrite if I did.
[Aether has a feeling Heizou is trying to figure it out. If someone told him what he's just told him without knowing how Irminsul could work, he'd give pause to it. As friend, he also knows that he'd be concerned.]
Kokomi was keeping an eye on you back then when I found you in a large cage surrounded by nobushi, but you showed me that you were a good person and friend and that's what mattered.
Wanderer aided me in Sumeru and saved my life, and he promised to continue doing so. He's well aware he walks a path where he has a lot to make up for, and so far, he's shown he's committed to it.
[He still falls for the old 'I need help with X' only for that person being a treasure hoarder or criminals of some kind that betrays him. He's not pleased about that, but he rather go through something like that then lose the ability to trust people and make friends. Though, Wanderer has insisted he be more careful; he can't disagree.]
[Of course he's trying to work it out. He feels like he's only got half the story here, but if it's all that Aether is willing to give him he's just going to have to be satisfied with that.
Naturally, he is not satisfied, but he sighs and doesn't attempt to push further. He knows he can trust Aether, after all.]
So long as you're keeping an eye on him, I suppose it's fine. Though you'll have to excuse me if I do the same thing. [Associations with the Fatui aren't something to ignore, after all.] I know you'd be honest with me if there was something for me to worry about.

Got it. I'll make all the greatest hits of Mondstadt's. It'll be good practice, too.

Someone I met here claimed to be the Sixth. Given your many adventures, I thought you might know something.

[He knows he can trust Heizou with this information, but he anything touching Wanderer can become complicated quickly.]
I do. What do you want to know?

Who is he?
